Works under general supervision to provide routine technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of fundamental techniques and practices related to particular field of science.
The Bowen Lab focuses on advancing precision imaging in nuclear medicine. The candidate will assist in the evaluation and refinement of an existing prototype instrument, and development of new prototype instrumentation. Responsibilities will include:
The applicant will record research data in accordance with prescribed procedures and discuss results with their supervisor.
Preferred applicants will have a Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, or closely related engineering field and the experience detailed above. Recent graduates with substantial hands‑on design and fabrication experience are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants nearing completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree may also be considered if they have substantial hands‑on experience in mechanical design.
