Position Description
The Yeh Laboratory at CSHL Cancer Center (http://yehlab.labsites.cshl.edu) is looking for a Research Technician passionate about drug discovery research. Our lab is developing several cancer targeting strategies for new therapeutics development. The Research Technician will be part of our drug discovery research effort at CSHL Cancer Center. Research tasks include cultivating cancer cells, biochemical assays, protein synthesis, purification and chemical modifications etc. Mentored research training will be provided. Candidates interested in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering are encouraged to apply. College students graduating by 2025 summer are highly encouraged to apply.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Biological/Chemical Engineering. Chemistry/Biochemistry as major is preferred (or demonstrating the competency in Organic Chemistry) and successfully completed courses in organic chemistry with synthetic organic chemistry or bio-organic chemistry lab experiences.
Experience/Skills:Strong undergraduate laboratory research experience and performance in biochemistry or organic chemistry is desired.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
