Texas A&M Agrilife Research in Lubbock is seeking a Research Technician I to support field, laboratory, and greenhouse research activities focused on soil health, water conservation, cropping systems, irrigation management, and sustainability. The technician assists with establishing, maintaining, and collecting data for research projects while supporting laboratory analyses and logistics.

The role requires a high school diploma plus two years of related experience, valid TX driver's license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to follow detailed scientific protocols.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.

Responsibilities

• Field Research Support: establishment, maintenance, and harvesting of agronomic trials.
• Laboratory Operations and Sample Processing: prepare samples and operate lab equipment.
• Data Collection and Management: enter, organize, verify, and maintain data.
• Equipment Maintenance and Logistics: maintain vehicles and lab equipment; coordinate repairs.
• Other Duties: assist faculty and researchers; support outreach events.
