Position Title: Research Technician I, Department of Oral Biology
Responsibilities
- Maintain animal (mouse) colony: including breeding, genotyping;
- Sampling of specimens;
- Histological and molecular (mRNA and protein expression) analyses;
- Microscopic recording (imaging)
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires education in a specific field and at least one year of experience directly related to the research or the program.
- Prior experience working in a research laboratory and ability to work independently.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory protocols.
- Competence in molecular biology techniques including DNA and RNA extraction and qPCR.
- Experience working with Word, Excel, Power Point and basic imaging software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related life sciences.
Salary Range
$33,481 - $35,000
Work Hours
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
