Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide all aspects of general husbandry to germ-free mice.
  • Prepare and sterilize all supplies required for husbandry needs.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Assemble, take down, reassemble, and sterilize isolator units.
  • Assist with colony management and maintaining associated records.
  • Assist facility manager, supervisor or higher level technicians with experiments and data collection and data entry.
  • Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
Working Conditions
  • Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
  • Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

$16.54 - $22.35 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
