Job Summary

The Wheeler Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital studies human diseases caused by expanded microsatellite repeats, focusing on Huntington’s disease (HD). We seek a motivated candidate to support ongoing projects involving molecular biology, work with mice, histology, and mammalian cell culture. The ideal candidate is driven, team-oriented, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal and computational skills. Experience in molecular biology or with mice is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare solutions and perform basic procedures (pipetting, cell and tissue culture)
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks
  • Apply scientific techniques and analyze results
  • Set up and perform routine experiments
  • Prepare reagents, chemicals, and maintain equipment
  • Conduct literature searches
  • Assist with publications or presentations
  • Maintain and order supplies
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: Recent graduates or individuals with some lab experience are eligible.
