Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory animal handling (mouse) including immunization studies and sample collection.
• Perform routine laboratory operations including maintenance, cleaning, organization, and inventory management.
• Support compliance with laboratory safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.
• Perform basic laboratory techniques in cell biology and microscopy.
• Organize, analyze, and document research data to support reporting and objectives.
• Work with the Principal Investigator to review assignments and document findings.
• Review scientific literature to support planning and procedures.
• Learn and apply new techniques and assist with onboarding of new personnel.
• Contribute to additional research-related activities and special projects.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with laboratory animal (mouse) handling, including immunization studies, sample collection, processing, and related research activities.
• Perform routine laboratory operations, including maintenance, cleaning, organization, and inventory management.
• Support compliance with laboratory safety standards, policies, and procedures while helping maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure laboratory supplies are adequately stocked and research equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Perform basic laboratory techniques in cell biology and microscopy.
• Organize, analyze, and document research data to support scientific reporting and project objectives.
• Work closely with the Principal Investigator to review assignments, analyze experimental results, and assist with documenting research findings.
• Review scientific literature to support experimental planning and laboratory procedures.
• Learn and apply new laboratory techniques while assisting with the onboarding and training of new laboratory personnel.
• Contribute to additional research-related activities and special projects as needed.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $20.00 to USD $27.02.
