Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent lab experience.
• Ability and willingness to handle laboratory mice, including breeding, maintenance, and procedures as needed.
• Basic proficiency with computers (internet browsing, order processing, Microsoft Office).
• Ability to comprehend instructions, follow protocols, and perform precise work with samples and chemicals.
• Strong analytical skills, including rates, ratios, percentages, molarity, and unit conversions.
• Excellent oral and written communication for documenting procedures and collaborating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments using molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques.
• Analyze and interpret data and present findings to the Manager or PI.
• Support management and breeding of a mouse colony, including genotyping and record-keeping.
• Assist with lab organization, inventory, and safety/compliance.
• Administer injections, medications, and wound care; venipuncture and aiding diagnostic procedures under supervision.
• Identify, prepare, and execute experiments per approved protocols.
• Take initiative on non-routine assignments and apply problem-solving to experimental design.
