The Research Technician will assist in experiments involving yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. The technician will also conduct routine lab maintenance, such as ordering supplies, preparing media and plates, and maintaining sterile glassware.
This is a one-year (1) term position with a possibility of renewal based on performance, laboratory needs, and funding availability.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED, and one year of experience in Research Technician work (assisting in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related areas), or one year of full-time research experience in STEM fields during college.
The Department of Molecular Genetics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Technician to join our team. The college is the largest at the university, hosting 81 majors, with 38 departments, 20+ research centers, and over 2,000 faculty and staff. It values diversity and promotes an inclusive community.
The pay range for this role is $15.86 to $20.74, with offers based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget.
