Job Description

This position is within the BU NEIDL Nonclinical Studies Unit (NSU) and involves work in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 laboratories. The role includes handling Tier 1 select agents in BSL-3 and BSL-4 settings. The NSU conducts contract-based regulated studies (GLP/Animal Rule) focusing on model development, assay development, and efficacy testing of medical countermeasures against high-consequence pathogens.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in organizing and analyzing data related to clinical samples or efficacy testing of vaccines and therapeutics is desirable.
  • Experience working in a GxP (Good Practice) environment is required.
  • Ability to pass health and security checks to work in BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories with Tier 1 select agents.
