Job Description Summary

She/he will be involved with research focused in Cancer research and T cell immunotherapy. She/he will perform advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques under the supervision of the lab manager and PI. She/he will work independently performing several techniques including cell culture, cell transfection, lentiviral particles preparation, flow cytometry, ELISA, molecular biology techniques, and animal models. Additional duties include maintaining the plasmid cell bank, lab supplies inventory, lab reagents ordering, and having experience with animal models including handling, treatment administration, tumor measurements, euthanasia, tissue harvesting and processing, blood collection, and in vivo imaging.

Job Responsibilities

Research Specialist A

Research Specialist B

Qualifications

Research Specialist A

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Research Specialist B

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. The applicant should have a Bachelor’s in Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related field, and laboratory-based experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and animal models is preferred. The candidate must also possess strong communication and organizational skills as well as basic computer skills.
