Research Senior Technician-Medical Oncology## Department:Medicine | IM Medical Oncology**Scope/Summary:**Dr. Ebrahimi-Nik’s Laboratory, situated within the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) and the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO), is devoted to unraveling the complex interactions between immune cells and tumor cells, with a particular focus on elucidating the functional dynamics of CD8 T cells that demonstrate tumor-rejecting capabilities. We are dedicated to comprehending the multifaceted factors that contribute to the persistence and efficacy of tumor rejecting CD8 T cells within the suppressive environment of the tumor. Using a range of cutting-edge techniques including but not limited to single cell RNA sequencing paired with TCR, CRISPR, western blot on rare cells, and other functional experiments we are trying to improve our understanding of tumor immunology.We're looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Senior Technician at OSUCCC and PIIO. Your role will be pivotal in several significant research projects in cancer immunology and immunotherapy. You'll collaborate closely with a postdoctoral fellow, so strong organizational and communication skills are crucial. Adaptability to new technologies and a fast-paced work environment is a must. The Laboratory of Dr. Nik is a part of the OSUCCC-James, PIIO.
