The team specializes in delivering networked sensor system solutions by combining a strong understanding of the underlying physics, high‑fidelity modeling, simulation of complex signatures and propagation phenomenology, deep expertise in signal processing, EM and RF phenomenology, and computer science, proven capabilities in system development, and mature tools to enable rapid design cycles from theory to demonstration. We are currently searching for a highly qualified Signal Processing Research Scientist to join our team in Arlington, VA.
BBN is seeking a research scientist knowledgeable in digital signal processing and the radio frequency (RF) domain to join our team of electrical engineers, physicists, and mathematicians as we build and deliver advanced prototype systems that exploit the RF spectrum. The candidate will work under the guidance of a senior engineer on small, applied research projects where we design and implement advanced signal processing algorithms in novel hardware, implement on real‑time hardware, test in a lab environment, then validate in an over‑the‑air field environment.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD – 181,700 USD.
