Intel is seeking a research scientist to join Intel Labs and contribute to developing cutting-edge technologies in multimodal sensing. This role involves designing systems that utilize various sensors for applications in activity and gesture recognition. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. and have experience in machine learning, AI frameworks, and wireless systems.

Join a team of researchers as an individual contributor to design, develop, execute and implement scientific research projects to fuel Intel's growth in the areas of wireless and multimodal sensing.
Develop systems, technologies and algorithms for multimodal sensing using wireless communications technologies (such as Wi-Fi, radar, etc.) and vision. Demonstrate new usages and applications such as activity recognition, gesture recognition etc. that can leverage multiple sensors such as cameras, Wi-Fi, etc. Develop concepts, PoCs and technologies typically 2+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap. Plan and execute laboratory research. Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the art principles and theories and contribute to scientific literature and conferences. May participate in development of intellectual property. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts with universities. Typically holds a PhD.

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. However, you must live and work from the country specified in the job posting, in which Intel has a legal presence.
