Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Research Scientist New Graduate focused on Machine Learning Systems (MLSys). You will help design and optimize hardware, software, and infrastructure for ML systems at scale, from training to serving, across the hardware/software stack.

You should have a Ph.D. in CS/CE/EE with strong publications, experience in C/C++, Python, and AI tooling, and a track record of experimental research.

Qualifications

• Recent Ph.D. in CS/CE/EE with strong background in operating systems, distributed systems, inference and training systems, data management systems, networking, cloud computing, and/or computer architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in one specific area with ability to be go‑to resource within a diverse team.
• Background with experimental research and development.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze efficiency, scaling, and resilience challenges in ML systems, algorithms, and applications.
• Develop creative systems solutions (hardware, software, infrastructure) for future ML systems of all scales.
• Contribute to the co-design of next-generation AI/ML algorithms and systems.
• Collaborate with a diverse set of research and product teams across software, hardware, AI, and networking.
• Publish original research and speak at conferences and events.
