TikTok in Seattle is seeking a Research Scientist Intern (Trust and Safety) focusing on CV/NLP/Multimodal LLM for a 2027 start. PhD candidates welcome. This internship blends hands-on research with product impact and collaboration with senior researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Related research experience in computer vision, multimodality, or LLM.
• Proficient with at least one deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving, logical thinking, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer vision or multimodal models to recognize violation content.
• Explore cutting-edge multimodal or CV large models (e.g., CLIP, COCA, ALBEF, BLIP).
• Investigate LLM applications in business scenarios (pre-training, zero-shot/few-shot).
• Continuously optimize the training framework for large models.
