The Center for Data Science at New York University (NYU) invites applications for an exceptional Research Scientist as part of the Polymathic AI initiative, focused on foundation models for computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

As part of our team, you'll collaborate with leading researchers from diverse scientific domains, pushing the boundaries of AI to solve some of the most pressing scientific challenges in CFD. The selected candidate will join a vibrant, interdisciplinary team based in New York , spanning NYU and the Flatiron Institute, composed of machine learning researchers, engineers, and domain scientists. This collaborative environment offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge AI models.

What You'll Do:

Conduct cutting-edge research applying AI methods to science

Work closely with experts in AI and CFD

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the full-time annual compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $250,000, depending on experience.
