Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a researcher who, in consultation with the Principal Investigator, will execute a program of scientific study culminating in publication. The role drives projects scientifically, may lead grant-funded work, and supports PI training and supervision of staff.

The candidate will contribute to experimental design, data interpretation, and dissemination of results, while ensuring high standards of research integrity and collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• Education Doctorate in related field required.
• No experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Experience 5-7 years in research/lab settings required.
• Strong evidence of scientific creativity and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design and execution of experiments and research projects.
• Leads scientific strategies within the group/lab as subject matter authority.
• Exercises judgment in methods and technologies to obtain results.
• Collaborates with external researchers and may secure project funding.
• Presents results and prepares publications.
• Assists PI in training and supervising staff.
