About the Opportunity
The Research Scientist in biogeography, California change ecology, and community-collected data integration reports to the Director of the Center for Biodiversity and Community Science within the Institute for Biodiversity Science and Sustainability (IBSS). The role involves establishing a research program leveraging biodiversity data to address ecological transitions across California, including wildfire resilience and urban biodiversity. A strong publication record, commitment to service, external funding pursuit, outreach engagement, and mentorship are expected. This is a full-time, temporary position.
