The Fountain Group is seeking a Research Scientist – Multiple Myeloma, Translational Medicine for a prominent client. The role is based in Santa Monica, CA with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will support biomarker and translational medicine strategy for CAR-T clinical development in Multiple Myeloma, interfacing with pharmacology, regulatory, data management, and translational teams. This is a 1-year contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD with 3+ years of industry experience or equivalent.
• Advanced degrees with significant translational/clinical biomarker exposure.
• Experience in oncology and immunotherapy research.

Responsibilities

• Lead PK/PD analyses supporting CAR-T trials in Multiple Myeloma.
• Serve Biomarker Lead on clinical study teams and oversee data.
• Review protocols and clinical study activities for translational relevance.
• Support CRO selection, method transfer, and biomarker operations.

Pay Rate: $40-$47.36/hr

Duration: 1 year contract with high chance of extension

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description

The Research Scientist will support biomarker and translational medicine strategy for CAR-T clinical development in Multiple Myeloma. This role will work at the intersection of Research and Clinical Development, supporting pharmacology, biomarker strategy, clinical trial execution, translational analyses, and regulatory submissions.

• Direct and establish PK/PD analyses supporting clinical pharmacology for CAR-T clinical trials in Multiple Myeloma.
• Serve as Biomarker Lead on clinical study teams and oversee pharmacology data and documentation for pivotal and registrational studies.
• Review and contribute to clinical protocols and clinical study activities.
• Support CRO selection, method transfer, and clinical biomarker operations.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Clinical Data Management, Biometrics/Statistics, Bioinformatics, and Translational Medicine teams.
• Lead resolution of clinical pharmacology and translational queries from regulatory agencies and support regulatory responses.
• Prepare data packages for publications, presentations, and regulatory submissions.
• Support exploratory biomarker and correlative studies focused on tumor biology and CAR-T functionality.
• Contribute to external scientific collaborations, publications, and interactions with key opinion leaders.
• Apply translational and mechanistic data to support early- and late-stage drug development.

Education

• MD, PharmD, or PhD with 3+ years of industry experience; OR
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of scientific experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of scientific experience.
• PhD in Biology, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, or closely related field preferred.
