Job summary

Google Research in Mountain View, CA seeks a Research Scientist to set up large-scale tests, deploy ideas, and drive deliverables using state-of-the-art theories across machine learning, data mining, NLP, and more.

You will publish findings with internal and external collaborators, help grow research initiatives across teams, and contribute to the next generation of intelligent systems for Google products.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• One or more scientific publication submissions to conferences, journals, or public repositories.

Responsibilities

• Author research papers to share results across the team and research community.
• Grow research business by sharing trends and practices within the community.
• Define the data structure, framework, design, and evaluation metrics for research solution development and implementation, identifying timelines and resources.
• Identify new and upcoming research areas by interacting with potential external and internal collaborators; help develop long-term strategy.
• Contribute to experiments based on the research question; develop prototypes or simulations to evaluate impact and refine methods.
