Job summary

Google is seeking a Research Scientist to advance AI research across real-world applications, setup large-scale tests, and deploy promising ideas quickly, broadly, and responsibly. You will design architectures and prototypes while collaborating with internal teams and universities to push the state-of-the-art in machine learning, data mining, NLP, and related areas.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of research agenda experience across multiple teams or projects.
• At least one scientific publication submission to conferences, journals, or public repositories.
• Coding experience in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Author and publish research results to influence the organization and the broader research community.
• Lead and review research trends, coordinate with internal teams and external committees.
• Deliver large project components by defining data structures, frameworks, design, and evaluation metrics.
• Identify new research areas and develop long-term strategy with external and internal partners.
• Engage stakeholders to address complex problems and drive research direction.
