Outset seeks a Research Scientist to advance AI-powered user interviews and digital twin research. You will lead studies comparing system-generated responses with human data, define evaluation metrics, and apply statistical methods to large-scale behavioral datasets.

Collaboration with senior researchers to publish findings and guide modeling approaches is key. Ideal candidates hold a PhD in a relevant field, have publications as a primary author, and are proficient in survey methodology, ML

Formación

• PhD completed or near complete in a relevant field (computational social science, HCI, sociology, psychology, statistics, etc).
• Peer-reviewed publications as a primary author.
• Strong grasp of graduate-level statistical methods used in social science.

Responsabilidades

• Co-design studies comparing system-generated vs human responses using qualitative and quantitative measures.
• Design, justify, and refine performance measures.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques for survey methodology and large-scale data analysis.
• Plan and oversee evaluations and experiments with pre-specified analysis plans.
• Oversee human rating studies, including rater training and inter-rater reliability.
• Collect data from third-party sources and human participants, including longitudinal studies.
• Contribute to research agendas for new modeling approaches and model calibration.
• Specify analyses clearly for engineers to implement.
• Co-author papers, preprints, and presentations.
