Job summary

A pioneering AI startup in the U.S. is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Research Scientist with a Ph.D. to engage in groundbreaking work with large language models. Ideal candidates will have LLM research experience and proficiency in Python along with familiarity in frameworks like PyTorch and HuggingFace. This is a full-time position in a collaborative environment designed to solve complex, real-world challenges and advances in AI technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in prior LLM research required.
• Comfortable programming in Python, familiar with frameworks such as PyTorch and HuggingFace.
• Experience with large-scale LLM training, especially in distributed computing.

Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Broad Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments with a high degree of independence
• Contribute to core models and frameworks
• Create high-quality datasets (both in-the-wild and synthetic)
• Perform literature reviews and implement new techniques from papers
• Contribute to publications, present at conferences and workshops, etc.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or another STEM subject
• Prior LLM research experience
• Comfortable programming in Python and familiar with frameworks such as PyTorch and HuggingFace

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications at peer-reviewed conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.
• Experience with large-scale LLM training, particularly in a distributed computing environment
