Job Description

Our client is seeking a Research Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be a member of the Tumor Cell Biology-Epigenetic group.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate, characterize, and validate the mechanism of action of epigenetic targets in oncology using shRNA or small molecule inhibitors in human cell lines.
• Present results and recommendations at local project team and related meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to creating an innovative, collaborative, and scientifically rigorous working environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong background in Cell and Molecular Biology with understanding of epigenetic biology.
• Extensive experience in molecular and cell biology techniques including human cell culture, qPCR, western blotting, immunoprecipitation (including ChIP), proliferation assays, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence.
• B.S. degree with 7+ years of experience; M.S. degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in pharma or biotech environment is preferred.
• Understanding of oncology drug discovery is required.
• Experience in epigenetics is highly preferred, but candidates with strong molecular biology and gene transcription knowledge will also be considered.
