Research Scientist Responsibilities:

1. Perform research and develop solutions to computer software and hardware problems.
2. Research, design, and develop new optimization algorithms to improve the efficiency and performance of Meta’s platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or related fields.
2. Completion of university-level coursework, research, internship, or thesis in:
1. Algorithms, data structures, or systems software.
3. Analytical problem-solving using quantitative methods.
1. Handling high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources.
4. Clear communication of complex research findings.
1. Research related to machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, signal processing, data mining, AI, information retrieval, or computer vision.
5. Research on understanding data semantics (images, video, text, audio) and advancing intelligent machine technologies.
1. Developing scalable classifiers and tools using machine learning, statistics, or mathematical models.
6. Proficiency in Java, C++, Perl, PHP, or Python.

Public Compensation:

$232,652 to $290,180 per year + bonus, equity, and benefits.
