Job summary

Harvard University, via the John F. Kennedy School, seeks a Research Project Manager to support the Project on Workforce. You will coordinate multiple research initiatives, manage timelines and stakeholders, and oversee Research Assistants in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes research, writing, editing, and fact-checking, as well as supporting project administration and communications across external and internal audiences. Hybrid in Cambridge, MA with some in-person weeks.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in workforce development, postsecondary education, labor market policy, future of work, and related topics.
• 3+ years of previous work experience in public policy, research, politics, technology, education, journalism, consulting or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple research projects, including timelines and team meetings.
• Oversee Research Assistants, including interviewing, hiring, training, and directing their work.
• Plan and implement research strategies to achieve project goals.
• Design and update data tools, including the Workforce Almanac and GenAI Adoption Tracker.
• Draft and edit practitioner-facing white papers and reports.
• Execute research, including interviews and surveys.
• Draft external communications and support dissemination of research online.
• Facilitate collaboration with external stakeholders, including project vendors and research partners.
• Design and support convenings and events with key stakeholders.
