The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy), a professional organization of over 75,000 members and the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a background in research and project management to fill our full-time ANDHII* Research Project Manager position (ANDHII = Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Health Informatics Infrastructure). The ANDHII Research Project Manager will manage ANDHII and ANDHII survey App and will oversee the data management for studies/projects using both. This position will also support data for ANDHII promotion, user support for all ANDHII software and related documentation and training material development. ANDHII is a secure web-based platform used by nutrition professionals to document care and track outcomes of patients. Aggregated data is used for quality improvement initiatives and research.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage functions for ANDHII and ANDHII survey App.
  • Manage the development and improvements of all ANDHII software, including managing external technology vendors and consultants.
  • Manage data collection procedures, technology-related onboarding tasks, data extraction and transfer for ANDHII studies/projects.
  • Manage subject matter expert working groups, provide user support and training, and participate in various ANDHII initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in research dissemination efforts, including presentation and manuscript authoring.
  • Support the strategic initiatives and vision for ANDHII as developed by the Academy.
  • Support grant writing efforts as they relate to ANDHII and data exchange in research proposals.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are critical to the position.
  • Attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve problems are required.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and electronic databases is required. Experience with SQL Server Database management is highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree in Informatics, Health Information Technology, or Data Science or relevant experience required.
  • Experience in evaluating, designing and implementing informatics programs, interoperability, data security and risk management, and tools that complement and interface with electronic health record systems.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in project management.
