Job Overview
As a Clinical Research Project Manager A, you will manage end‑to‑end clinical and translational research studies in the Laboratory for the Investigation of Autoimmunity Pathogenesis, led by Dr. Sokratis Apostolides, MD. The role requires collaboration with internal departments, external sponsors, and Penn entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of multiple research projects.
- Recruit, screen, and enroll study subjects as per protocol; conduct visits and collect specimens.
- Monitor and track subjects; collect, review, and report study data for long‑term follow‑up.
- Oversee cataloguing and distribution of biological samples.
- Develop and implement study protocol designs, source documents, databases, and case report forms.
- Maintain databases and documentation.
- Prepare and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation, continuing reviews, amendments, and regulatory submissions to bodies such as the Abramson Cancer Center.
- Coordinate study‑related meetings and communications; create data reports and presentation materials.
- Review study status, including accrual, data entry, query handling, deviations, and resolution of subject issues.
- Assist with data cleaning and quality control for large volume interim analyses.
- Ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and data quality, and adhere to University, FDA, and GCP guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- Strong planning, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective at setting and meeting personal goals, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and anticipating and solving problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, reference management software, and databases such as REDCap.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Exquisite attention to detail, excellent follow‑through, and problem‑solving skills.
- Flexibility and drive to meet project deadlines.
