Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Nursing seeks a full-time Research Project Coordinator to support a worksite health promotion project aimed at reducing stress and cardiovascular risk among long-term care staff. The role coordinates recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Travel to research locations is required. Responsibilities include managing data quality, coordinating with investigators and sponsors, supporting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or nursing required
• Experience in research settings preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and good clinical practices

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of research studies and study data management.
• Maintain study documentation and regulatory compliance (IRB submissions, safety monitoring).
• Recruit and screen volunteers, obtain informed consent and enrollment.
• Develop data collection instruments, establish databases, and perform data quality checks.
• Prepare reports and communicate with investigators, sponsors, and staff.
• Monitor budget, inventory, and adherence to protocols.
• Assist with staff training, grant-related activities, and dissemination of findings.
