Job summary

The University of Missouri - Columbia is seeking a Program Manager to provide leadership for multidisciplinary research programs within the NextGen Center for Influenza and Emerging Infectious Diseases (CIEID). You will coordinate a major NIH P01 project on influenza transmission and support additional federally funded and industry-sponsored programs.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in research program management or related operations.
Experience with multi-project NIH awards is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day program operations for NIH P01 and other major research programs with integrated plans and milestones.
Coordinate activities across projects, cores, and collaborators with investigators and administrative partners.
Organize and facilitate program and investigator meetings; prepare agendas and follow up on action items.
Track sponsor requirements and deadlines; address delays and operational issues.
Prepare NIH progress reports and sponsor updates with timely submissions.
Support Center Director in managing the broader research portfolio and priorities.
Foster communication across scientific teams and external partners to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration.
