Join our Tobacco and Telehealth Research Program and be a part of an exciting team doing innovative research. We have one position available with a flexible start date. The position is led within a vibrant research team, led by Dr. Jennifer Dahne, and is primarily focused on studies of technology-based interventions for smoking cessation and depression treatment within medical settings. This position offers a great opportunity for an entry level clinical research job for individuals interested in a career in psychology or a related health discipline (medicine, nursing), particularly those steering toward clinical research.
A full-time, weekday schedule is required. Duties will be varied but consist primarily of:
Research staff work across multiple studies within a small, tightly knit, and fun research team comprised of a program manager, program coordinators, research assistants, statisticians, and trainees (high school students, predoctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows). Experience with database development and management within REDCap is preferred, but not required. Possibilities for upward advancement are possible, as are opportunities for presentation at scientific conferences. Opportunities for professional learning are always available through frequent and diverse campus seminars, journal clubs, and more.
This position is based within the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina, located in beautiful and historic Charleston, SC. Excellent restaurants, outdoor activities, and beaches are available to all.
