Job summary

The University of Arizona’s Steward Observatory is seeking a Research Program Administrator to support the project PI and directors by coordinating day-to-day project management activities and ensuring successful execution. You will maintain compliance, manage asset logs, and assist with subaward and vendor processes in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Tucson, AZ, this role collaborates with the Steward Observatory Business and Research Offices, UA Financial Services, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1 year of funded project management experience.
• Experience coordinating research proposals and administrative operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance and asset logs, run monthly reports, and prepare records.
• Coordinate day-to-day operational and administrative activities for research programs.
• Assist with preparing proposals, deliverables and project reports; support subaward and vendor processes.
