The University of Texas at El Paso seeks an outstanding scholar and leader to advance high‑impact research within the NSF ASPIRE Engineering Research Center, focused on intelligent infrastructure and transportation-edge systems. The role aims to expand interdisciplinary research and deploy transportation electrification and infrastructure technologies across Texas and the Southwest.

Formación

• PhD in an engineering discipline with a strong research record.
• Demonstrated ability to secure extramural funding and lead research programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and sustain an internationally recognized research program in transportation electrification and related fields.
• Lead high-TRL research, demonstration, validation, and deployment activities aligned with the ASPIRE mission.
• Pursue and secure extramural funding from federal, state, and private-sector sources.
• Build partnerships with industry, utilities, transportation agencies, national laboratories, and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate with ASPIRE researchers across participating institutions.
• Mentor students, postdocs, and research staff; develop workforce initiatives.
