Job summary

TAP Engineering is seeking a Research Project Manager to support leading-edge research and engineering initiatives from quantum computing to microelectronics in College Park, MD. This full-time role partners with Government Research Scientists to manage a dispersed portfolio, requiring a strong mix of technical and project-management experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Management, or related discipline.
• 5+ years as a project or program manager with cost, schedule, and resource experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and flow down project requirements, technical and programmatic.
• Develop and modify technical Statements of Work.
• Monitor and report research project plans including cost, schedule, risk, and resources.
• Develop forecasts on technical performance, cost, and schedule.
• Support logistics, planning for meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Prepare monthly project status reviews to executive leadership.
• Participate in cross-disciplinary teams to address urgent project issues.
