Responsibilities include managing enrollment, randomization, dispensing of investigational drugs, and participating in initiation visits, audits, and closeouts. A Pharm.D or BS Pharmacy with required licensure is essential and leadership in GMP knowledge is valued.

Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information related to drug research studies. Participates in committees and projects to support research initiatives. Provides education on human participant protection. Reviews research protocols to ensure compliance and accuracy. Completes Pharmacy assessment resource utilization for research studies. Prepares medication fact sheets for inclusion in the research manual. Prepares drug information sheets for study coordinators. Manages enrollment, randomization, blinding, logging, preparation, dispensing, delivery, accounting, and storage of investigational drugs. Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds in a clean room environment. Participates in initiation visits, audits, and closeouts for research studies. Travels to start-up meetings when appropriate to support research activities. Tracks Pharmacy dispensing of research medication to ensure accurate record-keeping.
