Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN seeks an operations support professional to help deliver operational excellence for the scientific research mission. You will join the Integrated Research Operations Support group within the Work Management Division and provide work control, facility operations, chemical inventory, and safety compliance support to researchers and staff.

You will coordinate hazard analyses, support ISM implementation, and help drive improvements in safety culture

Qualifications

BS degree in a science or operational discipline or relevant technical field.
0-2 years of technical experience is desired.
Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced laboratory environment.
Knowledge of DOE/ORNL systems and safety programs preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as a work control point-of-contact and coordinate reviews for RSSs, ABHA, and related documents.
Facilitate operational activities to enable research objectives while ensuring safety and compliance.
Act as Hazardous Materials Management representative for chemical inventories.
Schedule and participate in compliance walkthroughs and track issues to closure.
Assist Facility Operations Manager with coordinating operations and infrastructure improvements.
