Northwell Health is seeking a Research Nurse in Ambulatory Cancer for its New York, NY site. This full-time role supports direct patient care within cancer research and clinical trials, collaborating with the PI to determine eligibility and ensure compliant consent.

The position requires an RN license in New York, a nursing degree (Bachelor's preferred), and at least 2 years of RN experience (oncology/research preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• At least 2 years of RN experience preferred; oncology/research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning research projects to determine feasibility of protocol implementation.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to determine patient eligibility for trials.
• Ensure consent is obtained and documented in compliance with regulations.
• Educate research subjects, families, and healthcare team on study specifics.
• Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient assessments.
• Assist in FDA and IRB audit preparation and facilitation.
• Evaluate disease response and data with the PI.
• Organize grant-related activities and submissions to funding agencies.
• Perform related duties as required.

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of RN experience preferred.
• Research and/or Oncology experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
