We are seeking a Catalyst Scale-Up Research Lab Technician to support an innovative R&D team at a world-class chemical research facility in Lake Jackson, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory, chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or process technology experience who enjoy hands-on work in a safe, fast-paced research environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support catalyst preparation, laboratory testing, and sample analysis under the direction of R&D scientists.
- Prepare chemical samples and laboratory materials for testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including lab-scale reactors and chemical processing equipment.
- Safely handle chemicals, air- and moisture-sensitive materials, and laboratory reagents.
- Perform laboratory maintenance, including glove box and vacuum system maintenance.
- Maintain laboratory inventory for chemicals, catalysts, cylinders, and laboratory supplies.
- Package and ship laboratory samples.
- Manage laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Follow all laboratory safety policies, SOPs, and operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory, chemical manufacturing, research, industrial, or technical environment.
- Chemistry background strongly preferred.
- Experience working with laboratory chemicals and wet chemistry techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience maintaining laboratory equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative research team.
Preferred Education
- Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Process Technology, or a related technical field, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or another science-related discipline.
- Equivalent hands-on laboratory experience will also be considered.
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
- Laboratory reactors
- Chemical processing equipment
- Wet chemistry equipment
- Laboratory chemical apparatus
- Glove boxes
- Inert atmosphere or nitrogen handling
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
- OR
- Four 9-hour days plus one 4-hour day (typically Friday)PPE RequirementsThe employer provides standard laboratory PPE, including:
- Safety glasses/goggles
- Gloves
Candidates must provide their own closed-toe safety shoes.
