The assistant will perform soil sampling and laboratory analyses to evaluate lead exposure risks on residential and commercial properties and process resident-submitted soil samples. This time-limited role includes data management, equipment ordering, and collaboration with community partners, with renewal possible contingent on funding and performance.

LOUIS, MO 63130Scheduled Hours30Position SummaryThe Catalano Group in Washington University’s Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences is seeking a Research/Laboratory Technician in support of the CLEAN STL Project (https://public-exchange.org/washu/project/clean-stl/partnership/), organized through WashU’s Public Exchange. In collaboration with St. Louis community partners, the assistant will carry out soil sampling and laboratory analyses to evaluate lead exposure risks on residential and commercial properties, process resident-submitted soil samples, and contribute data to project findings reports.
