Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to provide essential technical support for injury biomechanics research under supervision of the PI and research staff. You will assist with biological specimen preparation, animal research activities, and data collection.

Responsibilities include handling samples, maintaining equipment, and preparing documentation for ongoing studies in a regulated environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, neuroscience, psychology, or related life sciences.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment after training.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day laboratory and animal research activities per approved protocols.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain lab equipment.
  • Collect, label, organize, and process research samples.
  • Enter and organize experimental data in databases or spreadsheets.
  • Prepare materials and documentation for studies, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
