The University of Missouri Metagenomics Center (MUMC) and MU Mutant Mouse Resource and Research Center (MMRRC) are seeking a Research Laboratory Technician. PIBS is hiring a Research Laboratory Technician in the University of Missouri Metagenomics Center (MUMC) and MU Mutant Mouse Resource and Research Center (MMRRC).
Duties and responsibilities: provide technical support for the MUMC and MU MMRRC including receipt and inventory of biological samples, including Biosafety Level-2 (BSL2) samples; sample handling including nucleic acid extraction and quantification, normalization and plating of DNA, and transport of material to and from MU Core facilities on the main MU campus; basic data management and distribution to clients; assistance with preparation and distribution of service quotes and invoices; and assistance with animal necropsies, post mortem sample collection, and other procedures as needed.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
