The University of Michigan Medical School's Neurosurgery department seeks a full-time Research Lab Technician for the Al-Holou lab to support brain tumor projects and general lab management.
Responsibilities include daily lab inspections, maintaining equipment and inventory, processing tissue samples, and assisting with in vivo experiments, data collection, and weekly meetings.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious individual for a full-time Research Lab Technicianposition in the Al-Holou lab, a brain tumor research laboratory in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan Medical School. The applicant will participate in general laboratory management along with the majority of their time as a research assistant on projects on brain cancer basic/ translational research.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Position will be full-time for 1 year with possibility of renewal based on grant funding.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
