Michigan Medicine is seeking a laboratory researcher to study gastrointestinal diseases, focusing on host-microbe interactions and the role of immunity in IBD and colorectal cancer. The candidate will contribute to experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation using immunology- and microbiology-based approaches, including mouse models.

The ideal applicant has a relevant Bachelor's degree and 4–5 years of lab experience, with strong record-keeping and teamwork.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Mansioni

• Design, execute, and evaluate GI host–microbe interaction studies using immunology and microbiology approaches.
• Work with mouse models, collect and analyze experimental data, and troubleshoot procedures.
• Train and mentor new lab members and contribute to protocol development.
• Maintain detailed records and manage lab materials, reagents, and equipment.
