Job Description: The Research Lab Assistant I performs lab cleaning and maintenance duties, including washing and sterilizing glassware, operating autoclaves and other specialized equipment, and assisting in ordering and maintaining cleaning supplies. May participate in research studies and perform basic lab techniques under supervision.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform lab cleaning and maintenance, including sterilization of glassware and operation of autoclaves.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Maintain laboratory records and equipment logs.
• Report to Lab Supervisor or Research Associate III.
• Assist other Researchers as needed.
