Job summary

Quadrillion is hiring a Research Intern to tackle a question about training models capable of genuine research. The role focuses on open-ended, long-horizon reasoning—including hypothesis formation, experimentation, result reading, and next steps—within a small, high-priority team.

You will post-train models, design benchmarks, and build RL-like loops between user data and model training, contributing to Quadrillion's Qualia platform.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Statistics, or Linguistics.
• Research experience in at least one area of machine learning or its neighbors (NLP, DL, RL, optimization, statistics, etc.)
• Ability to move quickly in a zero-to-one environment.

Responsibilities

• Post-train models for scientific and computational research tasks.
• Build evaluations and benchmarks for frontier models and our own.
