Job summary

Attentive.ai, the company behind Beam AI, is seeking a Research Intern to advance computer vision and deep learning for automated takeoff and estimation. You will own one scoped research problem end to end, frame it, run experiments, and build a prototype evaluated on real drawings.

You will work with a senior researcher in a fast-paced startup, presenting results to the team. Applicants are pursuing a Master’s or PhD in CS/AI/Math, with Python and a DL framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python fundamentals and at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Coursework or project experience in computer vision, image processing, or machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Own one research problem end to end: framing, data, experiments, and prototype.
• Train and evaluate deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, or structured extraction on drawings.
• Explore self-supervised and representation learning on unlabeled drawings.
• Work with multimodal signals: visual layout, geometry, and text.
• Design evaluation and present results to the research team.
