Job summary

Tuskegee University is seeking a Research and Instruction Librarian to provide research and instructional services for students and faculty, under the Head of Reference Services. The role focuses on information literacy instruction, liaison outreach, and designing learning materials.

The position requires developing and promoting library instruction, maintaining electronic resources, and evaluating new technologies to support research and learning.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with electronic reference databases and internet research tools.
• Experience with LibGuides, tutorials, and digital learning objects.
• Proficiency with Zoom, Teams or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide research and instructional services including information literacy instruction.
• Liaise with students and faculty and design library assignments and instructional materials.
• Maintain access to electronic resources and troubleshoot links and access.
• Develop outreach initiatives to promote library services and collections.
• Collect and report statistics on instruction, reference, and outreach activities.
• Serve on library and university committees.
