Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Research Grant Specialist to collaborate with Principal Investigators to prepare and submit federal and non-federal grants. You will coordinate between departments and sponsored research funds administration, accounting, and finance, ensuring compliance with FDA and IRB requirements.

The role emphasizes pre- and post-award duties, including monitoring grant accounts, reporting, and close-out, with a hybrid work schedule and the need to reside within commutable distance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 3 years of proven experience in administration of research grants.
• Experience with federal and major funding agency grant submission guidelines.
• Proficiency with eRA Commons, Grants.gov, NIH Reporter, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit federal and non-federal grants and serve as liaison with sponsored research funds administration.
• Monitor Time & Effort for accurate reporting and perform funding corrections.
• Responsible for grant close-out and financial reconciliation.
• Identify opportunities for research funding and negotiate budgets for clinical trials.
• Assist with research participant billing and maintain GCP guidelines.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to internal policies and applicable laws.
• Participate in required training and education programs.
