Geological Survey in Alaska's Science Center seeks a Research Geologist to perform interdisciplinary geological research that supports Alaska's geologic framework and mineral resource studies.
You will map and analyze bedrock geology, contribute to geologic maps and databases, participate in fieldwork across large regions, and prepare deliverables for journals, maps, reports, and conferences. Travel and vehicle operation are part of the role.

You will serve as a Research Geologist within the Alaska Science Center. Salary: First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 1.49% is authorized. COLA is subject to change without notice. GS-12: $101,206 (Step 01) to $131,571 (Step 10).
